Okay so I was reading Bethany joy Galeotti's blog, and I agree with where she stands on the "Go Green" mantra that goes on in peoples everyday lives : I'm far from being a hippie. I don't shop with canvas bags, although I genuinely would like to remember that they are in the trunk of my car EVERY time I go to the grocery store. When I thaw meat, I leave it in a bowl of running water for about an hour (and feel guilty about it). When I take a shower, I enjoy it for however long I like (and don't feel guilty about it). I use disposable diapers from Seventh Generation (also no guilt there). One of our cars is not a hybrid and I drive it everywhere, usually without carpooling. I don't unplug my computer or toaster daily-- okay, EVER... and I still throw away many plastic bags (yes, I said it, so all of you who are also too busy to remember when recycling day is-- or worse, who have to go take your recycling to the Recycling Center-- can join me in my shame)."
The only difference is I do use canvas bags when shopping, of course only when I remember them. I don't thaw meat. Okay I admit I DO take long showers and I don't feel guilty about. I don't change diapers ( thank god.). I don't drive a car. And everything else is about right. Now here are a few cool pics of Bethany being green. In case you haven't noticed, I love photography.
The one right above is my favorite. I love you guys thanks for being great and making an effort to save the planet whether your an extremist or a laid back activist like me, you are great!

Water!!!
I don't know if you've noticed ,but water is amazing. I mean think about what it gives us: pools, hot tubs, water guns, water balloons, and of course clean drinking water. Most people take water for granted so I m conducting a challenge: the next time someone offers you juice say " Actually can I have some water instead?" Most villages in Africa don't get any water and what water they get is not clean. So my challenge is more than just asking for water it's appreciating it. So here is to water, because it gives us refreshment and a great summer! If you would like to give water please go to my charity page and visit Charity Water's websight.
Now do you see why water is awesome? I mean look at this pool!

Am I Nuts?
Hi Guys ,
So if guys have been looking at my blog you know I have added a few new pages! Now I admit that I may have gone a little over board with new pages....,but it's just so fun! My newest page is Shopping For A Cause! now the most repeating "cause" is the planet or being green. That is an important cause and well if you can't tell from the titles if my pages well I'm very passionate about it or should I take out passionate and put in crazy? Anyway I also wanted to say hi to my friend who is in Sacramento right now! (hi!) :D
Go Green! Even Sophia Bush says so! Here she is at the Global Green Event!
Hey it's gotta be worth while if she says so right? :)

Water Bobble!
"We set out to satisfy our desire for fresh, clean, portable water while minimizing the considerable costs bottled water imposes on our environment and ourselves. We decided to reinvent the water bottle. We needed our bottle to be recyclable and resilient. We need to hold costs down.We refused to sacrifice style in favor of function. In essence we wanted it all." And they got it. These are the words of the inventors of the Water Bobble. They had my support when they said they would NOT sacrifice style for function which in my opinion we do way to often.
I have gotten most of this info from Sophia Bush, the self-proclaimed person who will probably end up saving the world. For many months now I have struggled to find an eco-friendly water bottle without getting the taste of metal in my mouth. This solves the problem. Second off for EVERY water bottle we throw away each can take up to 450- 1,000 years to decompose!! If you are using plastic please RECYCLE!!!!!! I am going to start posting more eco-friendly things so keep your eyes peeled.
And for more info please visit waterbobble.com .
